Plant
Production
From incoming material to shipped ingots.
Process
Intake and sorting
Incoming material is weighed and separated by type.
Smelting and refining
Lead-bearing components are smelted and the melt is refined to remove impurities.
Batteries are crushed and separated into lead paste, grids, plastic and electrolyte. The lead-bearing fractions are smelted in a rotary furnace, then refined in kettles to remove copper, antimony and other impurities. The plastic goes to separate recycling.
Casting
Refined lead is cast into ingots and marked.
Equipment
Battery breaking and separation line
Separates batteries into lead paste, grids, plastic and electrolyte.
Rotary furnace
Smelts lead-bearing material.
Refining kettles
Remove copper, antimony and other impurities from the lead.
Casting machine
Casts refined lead into 25 kg ingots.
Gas cleaning system
Bag filters and a scrubber clean furnace gases of dust and sulphur oxides.
Laboratory
The laboratory analyses the composition of incoming material and finished product. Every heat is checked on an optical emission spectrometer and the results go into the quality certificate.
